The Objectives of WAHS


To promote an interest in the study and conservation of reptiles and amphibians and their habitats.

To provide a representative body for engaging constructively with the Department of Parks and Wildlife or a like statutory body.

To provide a forum for fellow herpetologists to meet and share information and experiences.

To encourage and promote responsible husbandry techniques for those maintaining reptiles and amphibians in captivity.

To encourage the distribution of information on the captive or natural history of reptiles and amphibians.

To promote an increased awareness of herpetology in members of the general public.
